Elke Luken is a bilingual/bicultural (Spanish) counselor who follows a holistic approach.    She attended National Louis University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Applied Behavioral Sciences.  Additionally, she holds a Certificate in Bible Studies from ISOM; a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from North Park University in Chicago; additional training in couples and family issues, trauma-informed care, and extensive experience with substance use.    Elke is also a Spanish-English interpreter registered with the Illinois Court System with years of experience in the immigration and legal field.   Elke believes that every single person has seeds of greatness and potential that can elevate them to become the best version of themselves.  Elke feels privileged to walk that journey alongside her clients.  She utilizes CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, The Gottman Method, Structural Family Therapy, Family Systems, and MI skills in order to explore traumatic experiences, reprocess and make meaning out of them, empowering her clients to live rich, fulfilling lives.

 

Elke enjoys her children, her pets, meditating, walks in the park, and enjoys every traveling opportunity that comes her way.
